1.30pm for one hour and then 4pm for an hour.
Spend the day with Albert, a local artisan bread maker and story teller, who will recall his insights into making bread and the transformative power that slow cooking can have on our well being.
In the afternoon he will lead on a kneading and proving session. Students will learn how to make a dough and will be taught several techniques of kneading and stretching gluten to make the best bread.
A few hours later, student will reconvene to finish off their loaves and bake them in the earth oven.
Albert has been travelling and meeting other community bakers who have placed bread making at the heart of their communities and has proof of the power of kneading and baking to our health, not just nutritionally but emotionally.
Class includes a bread making session, bread ingredients and a loaf to take home.
