Our favourite butchers return for this October Supper Club, this time for a masterclass on Venison.

This time around, Jason will be demonstrating the different cuts of meat from a Muntjac deer.  A three course dinner will follow, prepared by our Chef, Chris Hughes, to be served in our intimate dining room served with delicious wines. Jason will join us for dinner where we will continue the conversation about all things Venison and he will be available to answer your questions about all things meaty!

This is a class for those serious about their meat who want to learn some basic butchery techniques. Although the majority of the class will be Jason’s demonstration of his skill, there will be opportunities for some hands on butchery.

An evening not to be missed!

The Menu will be –
Canapes
Carpaccio of venison, capers, truffle mayonnaise, crostini
Venison liver parfait on beetroot crisps and sloe gin chutney
Chermoula Venison skewers, pomegranate molasses, dill and cucumber yoghurt

Starter
Venison scotch egg, pear and chicory salad, cobnuts, blue cheese fondue

Main course
Loin of venison wrapped in pancetta, Ragu of shoulder, salt baked celeriac, kale, carrot purée, coffee

Dessert
Pumpkin tart and gingerbread ice-cream

The atmospheric ‘corner shop’ with its historic cellars in Stourbridge will be joining us in Birmingham for our Venison Supper Club this October.  We’re delighted that they will be bringing with them a selection of whiskies that we will taste on the night.
