Chef Director Nathan Eades of Epi Restaurant will take us through a day of fine dining ‘sans’ meat.
We will create dishes that will look impressive and taste amazing. Nathan will cover how vegetarian dishes need to consider texture and offer robust depth of flavours to create Umami*, which can be lacking from dishes without meat dishes.
This course is perfect for vegetarians or people who have vegetarian family members. We will be creating recipes that will dispel any myths that vegetarian food is dull! The menu for the day will follow when we have decided what seasonal vegetables are ready.
(*umami can be translated as “pleasant savory taste”. It is oftern caled the 5th taste (after sweet sour bitter and salty)
