Here at Kitchen Food School, we love teaching children how to cook. After all, we think it’s so important to developing their palates early, teaching them where food comes from and how to grow your own.
Children need to be encouraged to be adventurous and curious about their food, empowering them to make healthy and nutritious choices about their lifestyle and diets as well as having the confidence and skills to cook some great, tasty dishes!
We have been running children’s classes regularly for two years now and we have seen our pupils grow in confidence and ability. Their grown-up palates and sense of food-adventure amaze us and we know that cookery skills are the first steps to making healthy food choices. We offer your child a chance to learn about food, try new foods and gain confidence using cookers and utensils.
Our classes take place once a month on a Saturday afternoon from 2.30pm to 5.00pm. The classes are fun and informal, whilst teaching basic culinary skills, some tasty recipes and of course, covering simple nutrition. The class is aimed at children from 8 to 12 years old.
