We were chosen by Wrap, a charity who’s vision it is to use the Worlds resources sustainably, to promote the work of LOVE FOOD HATE WASTE in the West Midlands.
Over several months we worked with Love Food Hate Waste in Birmingham, increasing awareness about how households can save money by reducing their food waste and also reducing the impact that waste has on the environment.
Working with recipes that revolved around leftovers as their main ingredients as well as tips and ideas on how to make the most of ingredients that are approaching their use by date, we ran our own cookery classes on waste food as well as local pub quizzes, encouraging a wider reach of the key behaviour messages from the campaign.
With our Love Food Hate Waste project now over, we’re in the process of analysing our data and reporting back to Wrap with our findings.
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone that took part and supported our Skimmings and Scraps cookery classes and we will update soon with some key findings from our project.
