Community Kitchen

Kitchen Food School is a social enterprise company. We are limited by guarantee not by shares. It effectively means we are a not for profit company. Our profits are used for other projects and we can't sell our assets.

We are available to community organisations, schools and youth groups to deliver cookery classes, healthy eating and sustainable food lessons.

We can deliver half-day classes (3 hours either AM, PM or Evening) for £300 a session. This includes 2 staff, all ingredients, equipment, session notes, recipes and we wash up.

The class is tailored to suit the needs of the group but generally includes, food safety induction, 2 dishes cooked from scratch and information on nutrition and storage and minimising food waste.

If you are interested email me jayne@kitchenschool.co.uk. We usually attend a site visit if the class is not at our school to assess the equipment and what can be achieved at the host venue.

We are planning to launch ourselves into a new phase of community activity with two new projects, Bread Club and Digbeth Food Stories. Watch this space.

Here are some images from a 12 week cookery course we undertook with Smethwick Can Cook.
